I’ve been sewing for over 20 years, starting back in high school when I completely fell in love with it (and never really stopped). I went on to study fashion design, and these days I work as a freelance seamstress on all sorts of exciting projects — from Rhode (Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand) beach club parasols and beach beds, to Selfridges Christmas trees and window displays, and even tour looks for BLACKPINK and The Last Dinner Party alongside fashion designer Gloria Jane Royer. No two jobs are ever the same, which is exactly how I like it.

Alongside freelance work, I’ve been running my own leather accessories brand, Suede&Co, for over 10 years, where I design, paint and sew colourful leather bags and accessories by hand.

Sewing is still my favourite hobby too — I love quilting, making my own clothes and homewares, and sewing tiny outfits for my friends’ babies. Basically, if it can be sewn, I’m happy.

I started Margate Sewing School last year and have already had the joy of teaching so many brilliant students. I truly believe sewing is for everyone, and I can’t wait to help you build your skills and confidence — and maybe fall a little bit in love with it too. 🧵✨
